The charity was formed in 1991 when Heather and David Lancashire (residents of Wells) were approached by a Belarusian journalist trying to bring children affected by the Chernobyl disaster to England for recuperation. Local host families took part and the children stayed in Wells for Three weeks.
Basic arrangements for the visit have remained much the same since 1991. Children aged 9-12 get a chance to play, visit local attractions, link with local schools and receive free eye examination and dental hygiene advice from local Wells businesses (our thanks goes to Priory Dental, Mansfield Opticians, Millicans Eye Centre).

We will have a stall at Wells Market Square all morning. Please help up us raise much needed funds to enable more young children to come to the UK for a recuperative holiday and help their immune systems recover a little from the constant radiation.
